Deborah Forbes Angell Boychuck (February 6, 1952 – May 29, 2024) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous 14-year battle with cancer. A devoted wife and mother, Debbie is survived by her husband, Peter Boychuck Jr. of Southington, children, Bonnie & Matthew Plourde, Heidi & Randy Nielsen and Jolene Miceli, grandchildren, Jenna, Aiden, Owen & Caleb, brother, Glenn Angell, sister-in-law, Rose Angell, siblings, Joan Sansone, Kathie & Joe Loban and Christine & Gary Arseneau, nephews, Ken, Joe, Todd, Nick, and nieces Beth and Elise, as well as countless friends who she always considered family.

A true lover of nature, Debbie loved gardening, rock collecting, hiking the White Mountains, but most of all, camping with her family.

Debbie was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church of Southington.  She was a proud member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Grand Matron of Connecticut in 2012.  She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and an adored advisor for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Debbie’s smile, laughter and strength will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She started her career in metallurgy for Pratt & Whittney, however, her true passion was being a teacher and Director of Plantsville Community Nursery School.

Debbie’s family will forever be grateful to Dr. Einstein, Laurie Scarpo, Dr. Shaffer and the entire team at the Hartford Oncology and Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center for gifting us the past 14 years.   To her Masonicare Hospice Team and aids at Euro-America, thank you.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to Masonicare Home & Hospice (https://www.masonicare.org/).

The family asks that spring colors, especially yellow, her favorite color, be worn at both events.

Calling hours will be held from 4–6 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
